About us
Since 1938, The Emerald Tavern (now known as Ye Olde Emerald Tavern) has been an iconic part of Parkville and the Harford Road corridor. Not just your typical neighborhood bar, The Emerald Tavern was once the home of famed football linebacker-turned-bartender Bill Saul. Since Bill's time, The Emerald has continued to host various local organizations such as Ravens Roost 136, Parkville Golf Club and the American Legion Dart League.
Ye Olde Emerald Tavern is dedicated to continuing its involvement in the local Baltimore community and currently supports a team in the Parkville Little League, two softball teams, a bowling team and the Parkville Community Association. While its community orientation and some of the Emerald's historic charm still remains, several modern upgrades have been made to enhance the experience of our patrons.
Local and national sport casts can be viewed on the Emerald's many flat screen televisions including one in our now covered outdoor seating area.
Of course, Ye Olde Emerald Tavern continues to be a must go for St. Patrick's Day revelers from all over the region. Our famous multi-day St. Patrick's Day celebrations boast heated tents, traditional Irish drinks and fare, live bag pipers, Irish Dancers, and Irish musical groups that draw a spectacular crowd that makes The Emerald truly "Baltimore's St. Patrick's Day Headquarters."
The staff and management welcome you to the new Ye Olde Emerald Tavern. "Feeling Lucky?" Come make your own history at The Emerald.
